Book Review-Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling

Harry begins year 4 with the fear that Voldemort may be gathering strength after the Death Eaters cause panic at the World Cup.New peril arrives when his name is mysteriously put into the Goblet of Fire and he is selected to take on more experienced students for the Triwizard Cup.Harry has to deal with bad dreams, mad dragons, love pangs for Cho and a few underwater monsters. The whole school thinks he has cheated his way into the competition and Harry is hurt when Ron refuses to believe him.

Ah poor Harry! We can all remember the first pangs of young love and the way you feel when you lose your best friend. Wouldn't that be enough to deal with without facing death by dragon and murderous wizards trying to kill you?The dark journey continues for Harry as Voldemort comes back to power and death touches his life again.

The good things about this book include Mad Eye Moody's bouncing ferret, the intrigue surrounding the ex-death eaters in the castle, The Weasley twins jokes, the return of Dobby, the return of Voldemort. I liked the darker tone to this book and the ones to come, and poor Cedric's death was sad. The hormones are starting to fly as well which made a good addition to the book.

The one thing that bugged me a bit was Hermione and her SPEW campaign. Her attempts to free the elves against their will was really annoying me. Hermione, let them get on with it!!! Leaving clothes hidden is unfair and would trick elves into getting freedom that they don't want
