This is one screwed up family! Her family think it is a wonderful thing to host a Higher Power, even though it renders the host a mere passenger in their own body while the demon takes over. Morgan's horror at hosting without her knowledge and consent is understandable. The only thing is that Morgan can be hard to like at times. She is obsessed with her hatred for Adam and when she shops him to the police for killing Val, you really want to give her a slap. Val betrayed you, you stupid cow and Adam is trying to keep you alive, yet it is HIM you are angry with? The bitch deserved to die and I wouldn't have lost any sleep over it!
The other thing that bugged me in the book was the way that every time she communicates with Lugh, it has to go into this stupid sexual thing. If they can only communicate when she is sleeping, surely they should use the time to plan strategy? Instead Lugh insists on parading half naked to turn her on and we get another full description of how hot she is getting. It bores me! Get on with the damn story!
Good things-I love the character of Dominic. He's the type of guy you'd want as your best friend especially with his cooking skills. I liked the plot idea and the book was always moving along at a decent speed. The scene where he loses his demon was very sad and I got annoyed at the way Morgan kept trying to hurt and upset him. The sex scenes and graphic content didn't bother me but be advised that there is gay sex, bondage and domination, masturbation, violence and frequent sex scenes so if any of this bothers you, I'd advise you to read with caution.
