I've given this three stars but I'm still not sure whether I really liked it that much or not! I really disliked Mac the Bimbo From Hell whose constant wardrobe changes and endless prattling about her nail varnish annoyed me just as much as her inability to accept what was going on and follow simple instructions. She is the type of girl that would drive you to murder so I have sympathy with the Fae on this one! Barrons did nothing for me as a romantic hero-cold, cruel, nasty and with a delight for physical violence against women. Being dragged around by my hair and almost passing out as my ribs are crushed by him is not what I'd want from a man, I can tell you that right now. I've read lots of reviews where people are talking about how much they love Barrons but I despise violent men being packaged up as a perfect boyfriend that we should all aspire to have. No thanks!
In spite of these flaws and me not liking the Fae very much, something in the writing kept me reading it to the end, which is unusual when I despise the main characters so much! So I will give book 2 a try and reserve judgement on the series until then.
